The history of our company goes back to over 40 years ago, when Yang Tai was founded by Mr Jim Chen in 1968. The company was established in Taiwan as a wood-working factory specializing in ready-made baroque frames. After Yang Tai started to concentrate in producing 10-foot long wooden mouldings a few years later, Jim designed a number of specialized machines that revolutionized the wooden moulding manufacturing industry and are still widely used until now.
As a true visionary and entrepreneur, Jim firmly believed the company would flourish and better serve its customers in an environment that provides plentiful, high quality timber and supports the labor intensive nature of moulding manufacturing, and he had his eyes on Southeast Asia. In 1995 Yang Tai’s operation was moved to Tangerang, Indonesia, under the new name Hanaqua Industrial Corpindo. The move proved to be the right one, with the company thriving and expanding in just a few years from a 270,000 sq ft premise to the present 1,830,000 sq ft supported by a 1,200 strong workforce.
